Why are our Batwings so renowned?

In a previous blog post we discuss the popularity of our Batwing Jumpers. They have always been so popular due to their one of a kind style, their zero waste ethos. As a result, they are something which are the perfect layering items, are oversized and comfortable. Hence, can be dressed up or down.

The inspiration of this collection.

The Batwings are inspired by The Nutcracker. A 1982 Ballet originally choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov. The score for the ballet was written by Tchaikovsky. As a result, the score was the particular inspiration for the design of the Batwing Jumpers.

Luxurious materials (remnant and vintage garments) mixed with the sport wear vibe of a movable batwing. Movement and texture were a key design point. Wanting to replicate the design of the costumes used within The Nutcracker.
